Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland

Biological Father

I was wondering... My fiancee is on my sons birth certificate because I beleive the he is the father, I have an ex who claims he is. If it comes back that my ex is the father does my fiancee have any rights to my son? My son will be 2 in Nov. Testing is underway now

Re: Biological Father

Once you are married, your fiance will be the child's stepfather, and as such will obviously be involved on a daily basis in his life. But the ex, if the bio father, will have a duty to pay child support and rights of visitation. If the bio father consents, your fiance could petition to adopt, which if granted would give him full parental rights.
