Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland

My brother gave up custody of his son 10 years ago. He was a drug addict and thought it the best thing to do at the time. My aunt and uncle adopted him. My brother has been drug free for 8 years and alcohol free for 4. He has a full time job, that he has had for 4 years, a fiance and is purchasing a new home. His son is now 15, and wants to come and live with his father. What do they do?

Since the aunt and uncle adopted him they would have to agree to give up custody since they are the legal parents. Your brother lost his parental rights when he either consented to the adoption or it was granted over his objection.
