If a car was purchased as a gift As a graduation present can the person giving the car take it back once mad with the reciever...the car is in my mother and my name but I've been the only/main driver of the car for the past two years

Your mother and you are the legal owners of the car, so no one else can take it back. Now, if the person (who you didn't identify) who gave it to you is your mother, she could do this, because the title indicates that it was intended to be jointly owned even though your understanding may have been otherwise.
