Name Change and quit claim deed for transferring property in the state of Maryla

I have 2 question if I type a quit claim deed for transferring a piece of land from my mother in the state of Maryland can it be used to file for transferring the property to me, I have it notarized and signed, and I'm looking for an attorney in the Clinton Maryland areas that can do a name change quickly and inexpenisve. thank you

Regarding the quit claim deed, you would be wise to hire an attorney conversant with these documents to prepare the deed properly. You can try doing it yourself and have your mother sign it before a notary, but if you misstate any of the information, it could jeopardize your claim of ownership.

As to the name change, call the Prince George's County bar referral service and ask them to refer you to an attorney in that area who handles name changes.
