Child Name Change
What is the procedure for changing a child's last name from the father's last name to the mother's last name when the child is only 10 months old.

Re: Child Name Change
You must file a petition to change the child's name with the circuit court of the county where you live. You will be required to publish notice of your petition in a local newspaper so that anyone who objects can be made aware of it and exercise their rights. If no one objects, a judge will grant the request after the appropriate time has run.
