Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland

In child custody cases, if the mother has not been able to regain custody of a minor child for over three years and she hasn't had custody since the child was six weeks old. The child hasn't bonded with her, but she does have visitation once a week supurvised. She had another child since, is being paid under the table, and lives in the basement of her job; could she be granted custody?

It is certainly possible, but unlikely given the circumstances you describe. I am assuming that the child is in the custody of the other biological parent. Ultimately, it would come down to what is in the best interest of the child. If the child is doing well in the current circumstances, the court would be very reluctant to make a change. I would recommend consulting with an experienced family law attorney to discuss you case in detail.
