Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland

Child custody from a kid.

To be upfront, I don't like my parents. If I do give you the reasons, you'll think of them as minor and think of me as overreacting. I've seen worse cases than me, and you probably have, too. All I really want to know is... is there a way for a child over 16 to, sort of, divorce his parents? Or, infact, just change custody to a seperate family? Also, if I would be able to, could this family be in a seperate state than I am in? Thank you for reading, and sorry to bother you with, what seems to be in other people's opinions, a rediculous question.

There have been such cases, but they are very rare. Unless there is a showing of real abuse or neglect, you won't succeed. A lot of teenagers don't get along with their parents, and if they could "divorce" them easily, it would create a chaotic situation, not to mention overburdening the courts.
