Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland
Child Custody
For some reason, I want a shared custody, but kid's father doesn't want a shared custody because he's girlfriend has no face live here. I can let him have full custody if I can see my kid whenever I want. Unfortunately, he is trying to move far away from here, even out of country. Is there anyway that I can limit him bring kid too far? Or I can take a full custody but ask him to pay all the babysitting whenever I cant stay with my kid?

Re: Child Custody
You can try and work out an agreement with the father that provides for who will have custody, or if there will be a sharing of custody between you. If one of you will have full time custody, the agreement should spell out the right of the other parent to have visitation with the child, and when those visitations will take place (weekends, holidays, etc.). The agreement can impose a geographical limitation on the distance between where the parents live so as to not make it impractical for the parent with visitation rights to be able to exercise them.
There is also an issue of how much each parent will pay to support the child. Maryland requires both parents to provide support based on their incomes. There are state guidelines for determining the amount of basic support a child is to receive from the parents, and a court will use these guidelines to make sure the child isn't being shortchanged.
These are important issues and once decisions are made it can be very hard to change them if you feel you made a mistake. Therefore, you should seriously consider hiring a family law attorney to help you get what's best for your child and yourself.
