child custody when son is 17

my son is 17y now and we haven't got to see eachother for the lonset time because of his mother, he finally put his foot down and started calling me to see and spend time with me.He wants to move to SC with and goto school here and, need help on what I need to do.I pay child support for 17ys. All I know is that the court papers state I am to have ''reasonable, liberal visitation, and that never happened for years, of her filling his head full of stuff..And now he know from her and her grandfather she lied all these years. What do i need to do to get him.

At age 17, your son is pretty much able to live with whatever parent he wants. He'll be an adult at 18 or when he finishes high school. If the mother won't agree to it, file a petition to change custody.
