Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland
Child Custody
Ok my Ex wife just sent me a modification leter from the courts trying to change the way the custody is set up. the current way is we rotate sundays to sundays and schooling was to be at my place of residence. Apprently after looking at my documents from the courts everything that was discussed and aggreeed too was not on the paper. I was supposed to be the primary custodian and she was not ever able to go back and attempt to collect for anything as long as i aggreed to let her have half custody cause i origannly had full custody and her every other weeked and every thurs. Now she is trying to change it and go for child support based on the kids schooling mainly cause she doesnt want to drive them to school cause of how far she moved away. My Daughter the oldest does not want to live with her cause she always yelling and putting her down. She has tons of medical conditions, she takes 8-10 different medications her boyfriend wont marry her cause she has too many medical bills so she stays on state medical.her boyfriends mom hates her cause she draining his money and lazy. my daughter got honor roll first semister and got 1 E 2nd but made it back up to a C. Son only needs inprovemt with grammer and attitude. Could she win ?

Re: Child Custody
The answer to your question is that the court is going to do what it thinks is best for the children. If you want to maintain the status quo, or perhaps seek full residential custody, you need to be prepared to present evidence to the court that it would be in your childen's interest to have you as the primary custodian. Your ex's motives here appear to be money-based--she wants to start collecting child support from you.
I strongly recommend that you consult with an experienced family attorney to help you present your case in court.
