child support after18/college
I am currently receiving child support, and filed through the state of Maryland. My duaghter will be turning 18 in April and going to college as a full time student in the fall, does child support stop or continue? Also what if she decides to go part time..college?

Re: child support after18/college
Child support stops at age 18 unless there is an agreement to the contrary. Typically such an agreement would be in a separation and custody agreement. The standard of living of the child is generally the basis upon which an agreement will have effect. Depending on your circumstance, it may be to your benefit to seek a modification of court awarded child support. Without all the details little can be said for your situation. Ultimately you will not likely be successful since you waited until the child is approaching majority. There are other ways, such as emancipation, through which I child may enter into legal majority.
