Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland

child support arrears

my ncp signed our child for my spouse to adopt. in addition, they were recently incarcerated for failure to mke payments. They were given a purge and order a judgment against him for the rest. He is still refusing to make proper payments on the arrearage owed. Can I file for contempt again on the amount he still owes and doesn't pay, even if there is a judgment on that amount? Thanks

Re: child support arrears

You can do that, in order to establish another purge amount. I assume the ncp is not working, or you could seek an earnings withholding order that would be served on the employer. The employer would then deduct the amount ordered from each paycheck and you would receive it.
