Your question left out much information needed to precisely answer it. First of all, how many children do you have? The amount varies. Second, are there any expenses for child care, uninsured medical expenses or other unusual child expenses, and if so, who pays them? Who pays for health insurance for the children and how much? Does either parent already pay child support under a formal agreement or court order from a previous relationship? Is alimony being paid in your case?

If yes to either of these last two, how much?
