Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland

child support

My son went to live with his father in June and we filed for modification of custody and child support the judge signed th order and the child support was terminated in the Nov order,he owes child support until the order was signed right? He does not think he owes after June when my son went to live with him.

The previous order controls up until the date the new order became effective.
