Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland

Collecting on a judgement

I have a judgement from Montgomery County Maryland against my ex for back child support. He has a Navy pension that I can get 65 percent of. My current order is $200, that leaves at least $400 + towards the $17,000. But I don't know how to start the process!

Re: Collecting on a judgement

I need more information to answer your question. You first have to decide which jurisdiction to proceed in, Pennsylvania or Maryland. That depends upon where he lives and where his assets are. Second, in Pennsylvania you can only attach up to 55% of a person's income for child support. Your best bet is to consult with an attorney familiar with interstate child support collection.
