conservertorship
i need to know if you file for conservertorship on a family member does it have to be filed in the state in which the person you are getting custody of resides only

While you would establish the conservatorship in the state where the family member resides by filing a court petition, it would be honored in any other state where the family member might have property.

Yes, the petition for a conservatorship would be filed in an appropriate court in the city or county where the subject person resides.
