can a part of a will be contested by a beneficiary in the will?

Not because you feel you were shortchanged. It's extremely difficult to get a will thrown out. You have to prove that the person was mentally incompetent at the time they wrote it, or were coerced or unduly influenced by someone else to distribute their assets the way they did.
