Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland

Co-pay per custody agreement

My husbands son needed braces, his mother gave us a hand written estimate from the orthodontist office, and we paid half. Now she is claiming more expenses, and the orthodontist office will not provide any history to my husband (joint custody). We think she has a friend in there, and the insurance has probably paid towards the total bill, and we have probably over paid as it stands. How to we go about getting legitamate records from both the orthodontists office and from the insurance provider?

Re: Co-pay per custody agreement

Your husband should assert his joint custody. Go to the orthodontist's office and insist on a copy of the boy's medical record, along with a copy of any invoices and payments received. He is entitled to it. Take a copy of the custody order with you. Be prepared to pay for the copies. Please feel free to call me if the orthodontist continues to refuse.
