By showing that you have a source of income and/or support for your child, the living accommodations you provide your child, how you care for him (clothing, food, hygiene, etc). If you have friends or other relatives who are familiar with these things, have them come to court to testify on your behalf. Judges don't like to take children away from their parents unless the best interests of the child clearly require it.
