There is no specific statute which details the information a non-custodial parent is entitled to. Generally the parent is entitled to information about school progress and school activities and medical care if the child has a sigificant illness or injury. I would suggest that you ask why the information is being requested. There could be some perfectly reasonable, and even admirable, reasons. The parent could be establishing a savings account with the child as beneficiary, such as a college savings account, and he might need the number. There could also be some reasons which are not in your, or the child's, best interest. You probably know the non-custodial parent well enough to have a clue about which reasons he or she has. Ask, and ask for some credible documentation regarding the reason. If you are skeptical, refuse.
