Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland

custody

My aunt and her husband got separated last year. They have one child who is almost four years old. My question is she took the child with her to another state with out consulting the father and now they child hasn't seen his father for almost eight months. When the father finally found them he took her to court and they both got custody, but she got the primary custody and he got to visit every thursday. The only problem is she is no where to be found. What can he do

Re: custody

If the father was able to serve her with court papers, she would have had to provide the court with her address, place of employment if any, etc. If she either gave false information or moved without notifying him or the court, she could be held in contempt, especially since she's denying him his visitation rights by doing so. So he needs to file a contempt petition against her in that court. He would be well served by retaining an experienced family attorney to help him with this.
