Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland

custody and child support question

I have custody of my son. the mother and I go for child support in Aug. The mother was making $900 a month and me 1778.00. I pay out $390 a month daycare and $37 a month insurance. What would be approx. amount paid to me. I have another child who lives with me and the mother has additional 2 that are younger then ours together. Do they deduct for these other children? also, we have joint legal custody and she has every other weekend. has been over 7 months and has had nothing to do with him, our son hardly knows who they are anymore. he has just turned 3. can i take her back to court and get supervised vis and sole legal custody? Thanks

Re: custody and child support question

You should get around $270/mo under MD guidelines. You may be entitled to more since you have another child that you are legally obligated to support, but that might be offset if the mother has similar other obligations. Since you're not legally obligated to support the children of your current "housemate", they don't figure into the equation. Regarding custody, you can petition the court for a modification of custody based on her seeming disinterest in acting as legal custodian.
