Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland

I don't have custody of my daughter but she has missed fifty-five days of school this year and social services said they can't help me. What should i do next? will her absent from school or neglect be enough to stand in court?

You need to petition for a change of custody as soon as possible. I would think if this truancy is due to lack of supervision by the custodial parent, which seems likely, and you can convince the court that the child would be better off with you, you'd stand a good chance of succeeding. But you will need an experienced family attorney to represent you.
