my ex husband lives in maryland he has physical custody of our 2yr and i have court ordered visitaion of her easter weekend i live in North carolina and i was wondering if he could keep her from me because i live in north carolina. i plan to keep her in maryland the whole time i have her

No, your residence is irrelevent to your visitation rights. Unless the court order specifically limits you to visitation within MD, you could take her back to NC for that matter. You do have a duty to keep the father informed of her whereabouts, and you should provide contact information as well.

Unless the court order says that visitation must be in Maryland, which would be unusual, you can take your child to your home or anywhere in the United States for visitation. You should inform the father about where you will be and how he can contact you in the event of an emergency. If he refuses to allow you to take your child he will be acting in contempt of court and you can file a petition to enforce the court order.
