Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland
Custody
I have many problems with my ex, he doesn't pay, he often forgets to pick up our son, lives with 5 ppl in a 1 bedroom apt, just ''stuff''. We don't have a court order for custody, is it against the law for me to keep my son from seeing him?

Re: Custody
You really need to get a custody order in place to secure you and your child's rights and avoid and ambiguity regarding the custody arrangement. If you do not wish to hire an attorney, your local county bar association my run a family law "pro se" project where local attorneys assist parents representing themselves in domestic cases. Also, they may offer a referral service that places clients with attorneys accepting reduced fees or delayed payments.
Re: Custody
Given the circumstance described you should seek a court order to establish custodial rights. Your case does not appear complicated, even so you should seek representation to ensure your case is properly asserted.
