Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland

custody

I am seeking sole custody of my 4yr. old. She has been living with me for over six months, but I can not get her mother served. I've tried the sheriffs office and certified mail but no luck. What should I do?

Re: custody

Hire a private process server; they are the best in tough cases. If you know where the mother works, they can serve either at the job or the residence. If someone else is living with her, that person can be served (other than a small child).

Re: custody

Consider using a private process server. Also consider hiring an attorney to review your documents since you are having difficulty with service you want to ensure completeness and accuracy with what you have prepared. Contact me to discuss, I can make arrangements for service.
