Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland

Daughter

My ex-husband And I have been divorced for 20 yrs. We have a daughter(now22) that we shared equally . We were friendly,no problems until he remarried. The new wife kept my daughter from me by hiding all letters, phone calls ect. to her and my ex. She had my daughter convinced that I no longer wanted her. They moved and I was never notified. She even told people I was dead. My daughter,ex and I have reunited after 6 yrs. Is there anything I can do to make this women pay for the 6 yrs I lost?

Re: Daughter

The time to act was when your daughter was still a teenager and entitled to a mother-daughter relationship with you. You could have filed court papers seeking visitation or enforcement of whatever rights you received in the divorce. I suggest you concentrate your efforts now on maintaining your relationship with your daughter.
