Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland
Default
The NCP in my contempt case was allotted until 3-3-04 to file an answer to the contempt charges against her. Since she did not file an answer, do I file for default at this time? If I do file for default, is it like other civil cases where you ask for uncontested hearings or just file for default and ask the judge for something? If so what? Thanks for helping me with this.

Re: Default
If the order to show cause that was issued to her contains a hearing date, the contempt order should be issued in court on that date, unless she appears to contest the order.
