Divorce agreement contract

My husband is leaving me after 4 months of marriage. I told him I wouldn't contest the divorce if he paid monies owed to me and he paid all divorce fees. I got him to agree to this and put it in writting and we got it signed by a notary. Now his lawyer is telling him not to do this, will my document stand up in court?

If you and your husband signed an agreement he is bound by it, despite what his lawyer says. It should stand up in court.
