Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland

divorce checklist

I had a attorney writeup a seperation aggreement and everything was finalized. The attorney closed her practice. She had said there maybe a packet that I can get from the court house and do it myself. I am filing in Maryland so I was wondering what packet I would need to file? Any help would be appreciated.

Re: divorce checklist

If your divorce is ripe now (the separation period has been completed or there are other ground that are satisfied), and you have an executed agreement, we can help finalize the divorce at reasonable rates and ensure that it is handled properly and the agreement is enrolled in the appropriate manner. If the agreement was never signed, we can review it to make sure it is satisfactory in protecting your rights under MD law, then get it completed and assist you through the process. Although the court has pro bono "packets" for divorce, those are usually used in no-asset cases. It is critical to ensure that all issues are properly addressed or preserved in the event that modification is needed. Please contact us at www.marylandfamilylawyers.com for assistance.
