Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland

Divorce

I live in Baltimore, MD. I want a divorce from my husband. Have been married 5 years. Reason for divorce is: I HATE Baltimore, I cannot get him to budge on moving to another place away from here. What are my rights under the law?

Re: Divorce

Hating where you live is not a viable ground for divorce, nor does Maryland recognize irreconcilable differences as grounds. In general, you would have to be separated without cohabitation and marital relations continuously for one year prior to filing for divorce.
