Eligibility to adopt
My question is do I need to be a US citizen or a permanent resident holder to be eligiable for domestic adoption. I am from Maryland. I am holding a working visa, so I am a legal resident.

Re: Eligibility to adopt
You need not be a citizen to be eligible to adopt. As long as you are here legally and the court is satisfied that you are likely to remain here permanently, you shouldn't have a problem.
