Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland

Can I be evicted from my home.

I have been married for 6 years. The marriage has been rocky and we breifly separated a couple of years ago for about 4 months. At that time we drew up an agreement where I signed over my share of the family home to my husband in exchange for a sum of money. We separated for 4 months but then got back together. We've been together for 2 years. We are now separating again. I'm trying to find a rental for my daughter from a previous marriage and I to go, but he says since I am no longer on the deed he can just throw me out. It is to my understanding that the agreement signed 2 years ago is no longer valid and we need to file for divorce and start from the begining. I understand that I may not have any claim to the home, but can I come home one day to all of my and my daughters things on the street?

Your prior separation agreement may be no longer valid, but your act of signing over your interest in the property remains in effect. You need to find a place for yourself as soon as possible. You may be eligible for alimony depending on your relative incomes. See an experienced family attorney for more information.
