Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland
My exhusband has filed a complaint to get sole custody. He is claiming that he doesn't see the children, and I interfer with visitations. However, he does see thec children in the time as determined by the court. There two incidents when he wasn't home for the visit. Another, incident when I read the documents incorrectly, but offered to make up the time. Will he be able to get custody?

It is always difficult to predict what will happen in custody matters, but if you were awarded custody as part of a divorce case, he would have to show first that a material change in circumstances has occurred since the custody award occurred and that changing custody would be in the best interests of the children. He may also file a petition for contempt of court and allege that you are in violation of the terms of the order. I would recommend consulting with an experienced family law attorney to discuss your case in detail.
