Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland

I am about to file for Divorce with my husband, this would be the Fault divorce and we were married for 3 years, we have no children adn no house, the only property we have are 2 cars, the rest is in bank account and furniture, if both of us will agree on the terms can we just write out the contract and notirize it without the lawyer and present it to the judge in the court .Thank you

I assume you mean a no-fault divorce, which would be based upon your being separated by agreement for at least a year, or separated without agreement for at least 2 years. If the only assets are those you mentioned, and there are no retirement accounts that have accrued during the marriage you want to divide, no issues regarding joint debts or taxes, then you can just split up the cars (properly signing the respective titles), furniture and bank account and just file a simple complaint for divorce. On the other hand, if the above raises other issues you haven't thought about, it would be a good idea to at least consult with a family attorney to make sure you aren't forfeiting any rights.
