Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland

I want to file for divorce. we have several properties and are in the process of buying two more. Should I wait until we settle on the properties to file? We also have a 9 yr. old son involved with custody issues.

Now would be a good time, if you haven't already done so, to initiate a discussion with your spouse about property disposition, as well as the custody issues. It will be preferable to try and resolve all marital issues in an agreement rather than to battle them out in court.
