Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland

When i file for a Emergency Custody Hearing and than serve my daughters mother with the papers. Am i able to have custody of my daughter until the hearing is complete or what would happen.

No. Filing an emergency custody petition merely puts the petition before the court. The judge will have to rule on it before any change in custody.
