Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland

I need to file for full custody and visitation, of my child. The father wants to give up all rights and i would like for this to happen. He refuses to pay child support and refuses to see him and when we initiate to see child he backs out due to other plans. Im tired of the games and lies and his alcohal issues are another big problem and no drivers licsense. can any of this happen..

You can file a petition for custody, but if the father is working, you should also include a demand for child support. He has a duty to support the child regardless of whether he wishes to exercise visitation rights. If he's employed you can get an earnings withholding order requiring his employer to send the support directly to you out of his paycheck. You should contact a lawyer who handles family law cases for assistance.
