I assume you mean visiTAtion. You go to the circuit court in the jurisdiction where the children live, or if there is already a court order regarding custody and visitation, to that court, and file a petition. If you anticipate an opposition from the other parent, you would be well advised to retain an attorney who handles family law cases to assist you. If attorney fees are an issue, you may be entitled to a reduced fee or even a free attorney; check with the county bar association where you live.
