Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland

I filed for custody of my child pro se. The mother became aware of this through the MD Judiciary Case Search and left the state with the child to avoid service. Do I have any immediate remedies?

If you can locate the mother you can still serve her with the court papers and she will be subject to MD jurisdiction. If she refuses to respond you can proceed with the case in her absence, and if you get a custody order you could take it to the state where she is now living to have it enforced.
