Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland

If I have filed for custody in Maryland, can my wife legally move the kids to another state or change their school before an agreement has been reached? She has been served, responded, and we are currently awaiting a scheduling conference.

Until there is a court custody order or an agreement in place, she is not prohibited from doing this. If this is an imminent concern you need to file an emergency petition on this issue. If you are fighting custody and other child-related issues and don't have an experienced family attorney representing you, you are making a mistake which you could well come to regret down the road. It's much easier to achieve the result you're looking for now than to try and undo what a court did that you are not happy with.
