Grandparent Custody

How can i win custody of my grandson? Both parents are irresponsible can hold a job nor a place to live. Grandchild has lived we me off and on for the last two years He has lived me me solidly for the last seven months My daughter took child and disappeared I have called dss, cps Neither parent will give me custody yet neither wants to care for him He is only 2 and should not be placed in the situations that he is currently being placed Both parents have lived with me trying to give them an opportunity to stand up and be a parent they only do it when it is conveint Both parents hit child neglect and yell at him. What do I have to do to prove them unfit?

It's extremely difficult to convince a court to take custody away from parents involuntarily, short, perhaps, of a showing of criminal conduct by the parents. If you've been unable to get DSS or CPS to investigate, it underscores what I'm saying. Unless the government is willing to take the initiative and ask that the child be committed to their custody, after which you might be able to get the court to award you custody, at least on a temporary basis.
