Hearing

I am supposed to attend a default hearing regarding a child supprt reduction issue. I am the defendant. If I do not show at the hearing, can I go to jail for contempt of court?

I am interested to know why you would not want to attend a hearing to reduce support. Did you bring an earlier cause of action and have not followed through? An appearance not provided under summons may result in contempt that could cause a bench warrant to issue.
