Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland

My wife and I are currently in the process of being divorced. We originally got married in El Salvador in 2011, she broke up with me October of 2015. So, to be sure if I had registered the our marriage here in the states, I checked within my county archives and it appeared that I did not register the marriage, but for the purpose of being honest with my marital status, I registered the marriage here in the states. I began the process of the divorce in El Salvador because that was the origin of our marriage. Legally we are still married in El Salvador and since December 2015, in the state of Maryland. Recently, my curiosity took me to check the Maryland marriage license archives, and unbeknownst to me, the state marriage archives shows that she remarried on September 2015. Her marital status on the marriage license indicated her as single. We are still legally married, but we are in the process of divorcing which I have been told can take a couple of months. Will her remarriage affect the our divorce process, when I register the divorce in state of Maryland? Or will the choice she made affect the divorce?

If your 2011 marriage in El Salvador was legal there at the time, her attempt to get married in September was null and void. You didn't need to "register" it in the US to validate it. This should not affect your pending divorce.
