Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland

My husband and I are US citizens residing in Singapore for his job, but originally from Maryland . Last year we were married in Bali and went through all the legal requirements for it to be a legal marriage in the US.

Well.....a year has passed, and we are considering divorce. What steps do I need to take and what are the laws for divorce in that country.

Any advise on who I need to contact?

If you and your husband are both in consent; both will sign the necessary documents; and at least one of you can fly to appear before the Judge on the day of the divorce hearing, you can file for a Fast divorce in the Dominican Republic.

A special provision in Dominican divorce law (142) allows foreign citizens, not living in the Dominican Republic, to obtain a fast divorce in the Dominican Republic without any residency requirement, waiting periods or classes. The Dominican divorce if done with due process is valid in US and worldwide. It's a great and affordable fast divorce solution, especially for cases like yours that involved several foreign jurisdictions (US citizens, married in Bali, residing in Singapore)
