Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland

My husband and I have been together for over 17 yrs married for 8 1/2 he moved out and got his own apartmant what are his financial obligations here? I am currently on unemployment and he paid all of the bills before he left.

If you have children he has an obligation to support them. He might also have an obligation to provide you with spousal support since you are unemployed. I suggest you contact your county bar association to inquire about their pro bono or reduced fee program to allow you to consult with a family attorney at no or little cost to you, and to then possibly file court papers that would enable you to get the support you may be entitled to.
