Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland
My husbands girlfriend violated a peace order that I had against her. They live together. How can I keep this woman away from my children. We are legally still married but living separately. We've been to court already, he lied in court because i brought it up then but he said that they were not together but they were. Since he lied, the judge didn't address the issue. I was granted sole and legal custody of our two children and he was given reasonable visitation. One of the things that were in teh court order was that we not speak negatively about one another to the children. We'll he's done this from the begining. I am set to testify against his girlfriend in a couple of months. I am so scared and uneasy about her being around my children. Is there anything that I can do?

Yes. Go back to the divorce court and ask that the order be modified such that your husband cannot have visitation if the girlfriend is around. In other words, he can't have visitation in his home if his girlfriend lives there. It sounds like you don't have a lawyer. GET ONE! NO MATTER THE COST!! You are fighting an uphill/lifetime war that will not end with this little battle.
Best of luck.******The above is for informational purposes only and does not create an attorney-client privilege.********
