Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland

Judgement awarded not paid

I was awarded a judgement of $5,000 in 1999 for court costs related to child custody. To date I have not received a penny. How do I go about getting the monies, and can I charge interest?

If the debtor has wages a garnishment order can be sought, otherwise you can execute against known fund except pension plans and other exempted assets. Your judgment should be reduced to execution before it goes stale. Contact an attorney for collection.
