Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland

Jurisdiction

Custodial parent moved kids from MD (where court order is) to NC. Non-custodial parent resides in VA. Non-custodial would like to move MD order to NC and then modify custody and child support to NC child support levels vice MD levels. What forms will I need to do this? I can't seem to get a straight answer from NC clerk's office on what forms are necessary to do this. They don't seem to know or can't point me to the right people to speak to. Thank you. If you could provide the proper form names that need to be used from the state it should be done in either MD or NC. Hopefully it can be in NC. Thank you.

Re: Jurisdiction

Until you move from Virginia and become a bonified resident of N. Carolina, such a transfer of the court orders as you've proposed would not be possible on your part(although it could be done by the custodial parent who is already a resident of N. Carolina).
