Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland

Can I just leave

I am preparing to file for seperation from my wife of 10 years. If I need to, what effect does me leaving in advance of the seperation agreement as long as I provide financial support. I am willing to give her the house and just about everything in it in addition to child support for 2 children.

Re: Can I just leave

Your ex wife will be able to say that you abandoned her and the children. However, if you provide support and do as much as you can with the children then you mighy be able to argue that you did not abandon them, but thought it was in the kids best interest of the kids.

I would further recommend that you speak with an attorney asap, probably prior to moving out.
